Considered
as one of the most ancient breeds of cats, the Turkish Angora – also known as
the Ankara cat – has been traced as far back as 16th century Europe.
It’s also known to be possibly evolved from the Manul cat, a small feline
domesticated by the Tartars. This breed is a national treasure in its native
land, with the federal government of Turkey producing a national program for
breeding and guarding the pure white variety of the Turkish Angora breed. With
their usually distinctive mismatched eye colors, the Turkish Angora are
intelligent, affectionate, loyal and extremely adaptable, making them the
perfect pet! They also get along well with other family pets, provided they are
the alpha of the group!
