7. Suzan Sabancı Dinçer
Suzan Sabanci Dincer is a third generation member of the affluent Sabanci family of Sabanci Holding, one of Turkey’s biggest financial and industrial conglomerates. She is also a chairman of Akbank, one of Turkey’s largest publicly traded bank. She inherited her father’s shares when he died in 1996. Suzan is married to Haluk Dincer, who is the current president of Sabanci Holding’s insurance and retail group. With her net worth of $1 billion in 2015, Suzan Sabanci Dincer is most noted for her work in a program that aims to increase the number of women seated on the boards of Turkish conglomerates.
