Bathrooms and kitchens are often covered with vinyl and linoleum floors that can seem both cheap and outdated. In lieu of installing tile or hardwood, consider a minor renovation project that’ll rejuvenate your floors without spending much. Gather up regular latex primer paint, painter’s tape, and enough porch and floor paint to cover your desired space. Then get to work. Stripes work well within laundry rooms and guest bathrooms, while a stenciled border can update a kitchen. Your floors will look brand new by the end of the day!
