The last heroic animal story is arguably one of the best. It involves a Florida couple and their cautious cat, Bella. In 2019, Leona and Paul Jones came home after a dinner out. In their haste, they left their car running in the attached garage. After the couple went to bed, Bella started meowing loudly to wake her human owners. As Bella kept crying out, the couple finally woke up. According to local authorities, Leona Jones was so weak from the carbon monoxide leak, she could barely call 911. Bella not only detected the carbon monoxide pooling into her family’s home, she alerted her owners and saved their lives. What a heroic cat!
