Golden Retrievers are known to be the most kind, loyal, and trainable dog breeds out there. It’s no wonder a golden retriever named Kelsey is the hero in this next story. On New Year’s Eve 2016, Kelsey’s human companion, Bob, slipped and broke his neck while trying to grab a wood log for his fire. Outside in northern Michigan, it wouldn’t take long for Bob to freeze to death. However, Kelsey used her booming bark to alert a nearby neighbor of Bob’s dire condition. For nearly 20 hours, Kesley barked, never leaving Bob’s side. Her loyalty ultimately saved Bob’s life.
