9. The Life Saving Sheba
This next heroic animal did the impossible: performed a life-saving procedure only a small percentage of humans are equipped to! Back in 2012, 18 year old Ayasha Perry was playing with her dog, alone. Sheba, the Akita, noticed Perry stopped moving after she began choking on a piece of chicken. According to her testimony in Britain’s “Mirror”, Perry thought she would die while lying on the floor, breathless. That’s when Sheba did the incredible! The dog, weighing nearly 70 pounds, jumped on Perry’s back, dislodging the piece of chicken. One of the most unbelievable aspects of this story is that the pair had only known each other two weeks before the incident.
