7. Pig Protects His Family
Dogs aren’t the only animals willing to protect their human companions at all costs though. Ludwig, a 240 pound pet pig, ended up scaring a gang of burglars on New Year’s Eve in 2014. While his English family were sleeping soundly, a group of menacing thieves broke into their house to rob them of all they had. Ludwig chased off the burglars and woke up his owners, Mike Maughen and Liane Scholtz, with the commotion. On a lighter note, the couple were so grateful to Ludwig, they made a pact to never eat pork again.
