Vanessa Williams was cancelled by Hollywood in the 80s for something that is often celebrated nowadays. In 1983, the beautiful Williams won the Miss America pageant to no one’s surprise. While on tour as the winner, Williams represented the pageant community with poise and grace. That is, until it was discovered she’d taken nude photos for a photographer. Although the pictures were taken consensually, pageant officials were unforgiving of the new developments. Williams was promptly stripped of her title and cast aside from participating in further Hollywood ventures. Williams would eventually start a mildly successful music career, but she never regained her Miss America title.
