2. Roseanne Barr
One of the most recent instances of Hollywood blacklisting, Roseanne Barr is no stranger to controversy. When filming her self-created sitcom in the 90s, “Roseanne”, Barr was known to act up at award shows, on news programs, and had a volatile relationship with a co-star that made working on set nightmarish for many involved. However, she wasn’t officially blacklisted until after “Roseanne” was picked up for a reunion series. Barr took to social media to not only formally endorse Donald Trump in 2016, she started spewing conservative propaganda and viewpoints. In one particularly damning instance, Barr espoused something racist about Barack Obama’s former Senior Advisor, comparing her to a monkey. ABC took little time to cancel her reunion season and any further appearances on their network.
