Rose McGowan is not afraid to be a polarizing person, even while out of Hollywood. The actress controversarily dated Marilyn Manson in the 2000s. She’s also not afraid to discuss her prominent liberal beliefs on social media. The latter is what created the current negative climate towards her. Allegedly, McGowan was one of Harvey Weinstein’s victims. Before the director was found guilty of his abuse of young starlets, McGowan spoke up about Weinstein. Even though the two settled out of court, Weinstein’s immense power with Hollywood elites made it so McGowan was blacklisted from major roles for a decade. The actress is still fighting against that blacklist, as she hasn’t appeared in a major film or television show since “Charmed”.
