At some point, we’ve all faked a sickness to get out of doing something. The 2000 Spanish Paralympics team also seemed to be faking some sicknesses. It was revealed that only 10 out of the 12 team members of the team were actually mentally disabled. The fake sickness scored them a gold trophy in the tournament, but a Spanish journalist discovered that their team had two mentally stable participants.  There was no formal testing done on the two players to disprove their supposed illness.
