Osama Bin Laden had been on the run for nearly a decade after masterminding numerous targeted terrorist assaults worldwide. In 2011, the U.S. government tracked him down to a remote homestead in Abbottabad, Pakistan. After confirming that the Al-Qaeda leader was hiding in the compound, an onslaught was initiated by the U.S. Navy Seals on 2nd May 2011. Back in the White House, former U.S. President Barack Obama and top government officials were receiving live information as the situation unfolded.
