On January 28, 1986, seven enthusiastic crew members boarded the Challenger Space Shuttle in what would be their last space mission. 73 seconds after the challenger had launched, the space shuttle broke apart and exploded in front of millions of people watching worldwide. However, even with the fuel compartment torn apart, the pieces still maintained their upward trajectory before arching downwards and into the Atlantic Ocean. All seven crew members died that day, but the exact time of death is still unknown, with evidence pointing to the fact that they might have survived the crash but died due to lack of oxygen.
