State Fairs And Carnivals
Due to World War II, state fairs and carnivals shut down for a period of time. In the late 40s, they made a comeback. These carnivals and fairs served as what we know today as amusement parks and festivals. There were some rides and games, and they even had bumper cars. As seen in the image below, these events were not as elaborate as we know carnivals to be now. The rides were simple in design and very minimalist in their presentation. It was a place for people to gather and have fun.
