Florida is increasingly becoming a mecca for the recently retired. With a gorgeous coastline bordering both the Atlantic and Gulf, and many large cities with competing cultures, it was difficult to narrow down the best location within the state. Kendall, Florida, however, probably has our favorite budding retirement community. Just 12 miles from Miami, Kendall boasts beach living with culture. The city blends the safety of a small town with the access of a bustling Miami. It’s also commonly considered one of the safest growing communities in America.
