Jack Gleeson didn’t have a very long acting career. We saw him in the HBO TV series Game of Thrones as King Joffrey and we all hated his character. That is how good he was. Gleeson probably got tired of being hated, and retired from acting shortly after he left Game of Thrones. “The lifestyle that comes with being an actor in a successful TV show isn’t something I gravitate towards” said Gleeson for The Irish Independent. He studied philosophy and theology hoping to be a philosophy lecturer at the Trinity College in Dublin.
