6. Regis Philbin
A true icon in the world of talk shows, Regis Philbin passed away at age 88 on July 24. During his glorious 60-year career, he earned three Daytime Emmy awards. He was famed for his hosting skills on many television shows – 1988 to 2001 – Live With Regis and Kathie Lee; 2001 to 2011 – Live With regis and Kelly; as well as “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Philbin’s fans, family, and friends fondly remember him as an incredibly warm person with an incredible sense of humor.
