Most car drivers probably can’t think of a reason why there’s an arrow right beside the gas gauge, except maybe for design aesthetics of the gauges, I know I’m one of them! However, it turns out that these hidden arrows are designed so that you’ll know which side of the car the gas tank is on! Genius move, isn’t it? This is especially useful for those rental cars! No more having to adjust your car at the gasoline station when you realize the gas tank is on the other side and you’ve lined up at the wrong one!
