Hungarian vizslas are extremely smart, loyal and family-oriented. They’re excellent at performing tricks but can be mischievous when bored. Active and energetic, they need daily exercise or else they’ll become destructive. One breed expert writes that vizslas are excellent watchdogs, barking only when necessary. Despite their intelligence, vizslas can be headstrong and stubborn so early training is important to help them grow into obedient companions. This breed makes an excellent family dog but may not do well with children if not socialized early on. This breed is also known as The Velcro Dog for its loyalty to owners; it follows its human everywhere!
