Steve Irwin, the wild animal man, was a TV presenter who taught us all about how to treat nature with respect and understand animals. All of us who grew up watching him at some point wanted to be a vet, zookeeper, or a travelling TV presenter just like him. But he was tragically killed by a giant stingray in a one in a million chance fluke. The animal meant him no harm, but Steve Irwin was hurt and passed on. In some ways, sadly, his death really hurt his message.
