The next Hollywood blacklisted actress received major backlash due to a messy, highly public breakup. Sondra Locke showed promise with her acting skills in the late 1960s. She starred in “Cover Me Babe”, “Willard”, and “The Heart Is A Lonely Number”. For her performance in the latter, Locke received critical acclaim and was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her downslide from Hollywood’s good graces was swift though. After getting involved with Clint Eastwood, Hollywood’s golden boy at the time, Locke found herself constantly in the public eye. After 14 years of marriage, the two actors divorced in a nasty palimony suit. After that, Locke was hard pressed to find any major roles; Hollywood had chosen Eastwood in the divorce.
