10. Kobe Bryant
Perhaps one of the most shocking deaths this year was that of NBA star, Kobe Bryant. He passed away in a helicopter crash in January in Calabasas, C.A. At that time, eight other people were in the helicopter, including Gianna, his 13-year old daughter. Reportedly, “foggy conditions” caused the aircraft to crash. There were no survivors. Experts and players alike agree that he was one of the best players of all time, holding a total of five NBA championships.
