Whenever you move into a new house, you always try your best to personalize your house to make it feel like a home, especially if it’s an important house, such as the White House. Since moving into the White House, Melania Trump has added her personal touch to the mansion. Well, a few touches. One of the biggest and most controversial changes she made was to the beloved rose garden. Back in August 2019, Melanie decided to renovate the famous White House Garden. That’s not the only thing she’s changed. Here’s a look at some of the changes she’s made at the White House.
Decor Upgrades
Decorating your new house is always a fun experience. You get to add personal items such as family portraits on walls. Unlike other homes, decorating the White House is more complicated than you think. Any decor that Melania would like to put up in the White House has to be passed through the Kennedy-created Committee for the Preservation of the White House. The historical association funds the committee with $1 million to $1.5 million each year. The White House serves as a home for the president and his family, an office, and a museum of American History.
