Although these snakes are immense, they are not as huge as Hollywood would like you to believe, and neither are they colossal man-eaters. In the movie Anaconda, the snakes are portrayed as savage creatures with an appetite for human blood. However, these South American reptiles are gentle giants that prefer the shadows and only attack humans when provoked. According to National Geographic, Anacondas can grow up to thirty feet and weigh 200 pounds. The female Anaconda is way larger than the males, and these snakes are among the few reptiles that give birth to live young.
