Excesses Are Frowned Upon
Once you become a freemason, certain aspects of your life will have to change. If you enjoy a few drinks over the weekend, that’s okay. What’s not okay is drinking uncontrollably and staggering home dead drunk. This is frowned upon since excessive drinking can lead to the leaking of secrets. Excesses don’t only apply to drinking, but any extra that can potentially lead to secret revelation is unacceptable. Substance abuse is also off the table.
