There were some upgrades in the White House that were long overdue. The Red Room was one of them. The wall fabric in the Red Room had been worn out from the sunlight that shines into the room. The president of the White House Historical Association, Stewart McLaurin, said, “Those rooms should always look their very best, and it was just very faded and really, really needed to be done.” The wall has since been restored and looks brand new.
