New Flowers in the Rose Garden
The renovations were not only concerning the interior of the White House but also the exterior of the White House. The Rose Garden is a significant feature of the White House. When Melania announced that she would be renovating it, there was a lot of skepticism from the public. The crab apple trees were dug up and re-planted elsewhere around the White House property. Trump planted white and pastel roses, removing the tulips and other colorful plants. Melania received some backlash on social media for removing the trees and plants in the Rose Garden.
