At first glance, this building looks like it’s melting; but if it’s so hot, why aren’t the neighboring buildings melting? Well, this is the iconic Haussmannian building in Paris when it was under renovation. When the building’s renovators were thinking about shielding the street from the commotion that comes with renovations, they came up with a brilliant idea of using a mural to cover the building. The mural was printed into a large canvas so that the canvas creates a melting illusion. Parisians were so impressed that visitors started flocking the renovation site days after the mural was set up.
