4. A little peace and quiet.
The Basenji is just that – both peaceful and quiet at the same time. While this pretty puppy is unique in a lot of specials ways, what distinguishes it the most from other breeds is that it does not bark. Not at all. Some quiet noises it may make include a soft yodel sounding song-like welcome when a favorite and trusted companion is around. While the Basenji is a very loyal companion, they show that in their stature, polite nature and quiet demeanor. These quiet creatures are high-spirited, endlessly curious, charming, independent and self-contained, making them a peaceful pet to have at home.
