If dogs were given superlatives in doggy day care, the Collie would win, “Most Likely to Star in a Movie” – and, actually, a Collie did. The beloved Lassie was the movies family-friendly Collie and let’s just say Lassie knew the lines well. That said, Collies are very intelligent dogs with an unmatched sense of direction. They bring a certain peace and calmness to any situation with their sensitivity, mild manners, loyalty and notoriously great with children and other dogs. Collies are also known to have an uncanny ability to detect when something is out of order and respond in a quiet, hero-like fashion to protect its loved ones – animal and human.
