The Borzoi, a Russian wolfhound, is known for its peaceful demeanor, sensitive spirit and endless devotion. A quiet breed, the Borzoi rarely barks and is a highly sensitive canine that does not do well with harsh handling or punishment but prefers affection and playfulness. While a good time is appreciated, the Borzoi does not need constant attention, as they are confident and independent on their own. In fact, the breed can become bored with repetitive activity, responding well to motivational training, competitive obedience and harsh criticisms. Unlike other dogs, the Borzoi remains calm around strangers and prefers to be at peace in its own space.
