Considered by many the ‘Queen of Rock’ n’ Roll,’ Tina Turner renounced her U.S citizenship for Swiss citizenship and permanently moved to the European nation. The ageless singer owned properties in London, France, Cologne, and Los Angeles but was completely sold when she first landed in Zurich. In 1994, Turner bought a lake house in the Alpine country and has lived there ever since. In her 2012 interview with a Swiss-German newspaper, Turner claimed that her more than 25-year stay in Switzerland had been nothing but refreshing.
