Beijing-born martial arts star, Jet Li, earned his U.S citizenship after spending years working in the U.S film industry. He is recognized as the man behind Hollywood blockbusters Romeo Must Die, Kiss of The Dragon and The Mummy. However, in 2009, Jet Li moved to Singapore with his family and his efforts to gain Singaporean citizenship were thwarted since the country’s laws forbid dual citizenship. Li later admitted that he was afraid that his kids would lose their ethnic heritage if they grew up in the U.S.
