Born into Hollywood royalty, Nicolas Cage was at one point at the peak of Hollywood success. His rough looks and soft voice meant that Cage could play both heroic and villain parts in blockbuster films. However, his accumulated fortunes didn’t last long after he went on a spending spree that included many Hollywood mansions, castles in Europe, $150,000 pet octopus, and a private island in the Bahamas. The actor filed for bankruptcy in 2009 but luckily bounced back after landing a string of successful movie roles.
