Joey and Rory Feek
Joey and Rory Fleek were at the center of a Nashville love story’s saddest culmination when Joey died of cervical cancer in 2016. The duo was inseparable, and their mutual love for music helped them record and perform seven albums together. Three months after giving birth to their daughter Indiana in 2014, Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer and unfortunately died two years later. Rory was so devastated by his wife’s death that he retired from music because most of their songs were duets that he couldn’t perform with another partner.
