Love Locks Bridge
Love Locks Bridge, Paris (Pont des Arts) is a pedestrian bridge that crosses the Seine river. There is no definite story of how the tradition started, but for years people have been writing their love’s name on a padlock and attaching it to this bridge. With over one million padlocks attached, in 2014, a fence on the bridge collapsed under the weight of it all. The padlocks were all removed, and the fence was then replaced with glass panels, leaving no room for padlocks to be attached and therefore putting an end to the love tradition.
