Original Wembley Stadium
The Original Wembley Stadium in London was built in 1923. It served as the main venue of the London 1948 Olympic Games and remained in use until 2000. Construction of the new stadium began in 2002, and it was officially opened in March 2007. Although the new and improved stadium is bigger and more impressive looking, fans still miss the feel of the old stadium. They took particular offense to the destruction of the two towers that adorned the building.
