You may think buying batteries at the local dollar store is a cheap and convenient solution to any battery-related problem, but they’re definitely not worth buying. While even at standard stores batteries are relatively cheap, batteries found at the dollar store often aren’t worth the price. Like a lot of other products, batteries half a shelf life; the older the battery, the less energy it has. One major reason you find batteries at the local dollar store so cheap is because they’re old, meaning less effective. It’s better to buy a pack at the grocery store than pay for batteries that are likely not to work out of the box.
