The Federal Drug Administration recently reported that several of the cheap hand sanitizer alternatives contained methanol, a hazardous chemical that is harmful when absorbed through the skin. While some of these products have been recalled, there are many places still selling the toxic alternatives. It’s worth buying the more reputable brands, even if it’s more expensive.
