The Puente de Ojuela bridge is
located in northern Mexico, in the city of Torreon. Constructed over a steep
canyon and 275 meters long, this bridge is now only allowed to be used by
pedestrians only, as cars and trucks would be too much weight for the now
dilapidated bridge, posing a serious danger of collapsing. The bridge was
constructed back in 1898 solely for the benefit of the mining town below, but
has since fallen into disrepair when the mining town has started to run dry of
gold and silver deposits.
