Located on the Central Pacific
Coast of Costa Rica, particularly on the drive from Jaco to Quepos, the Pont
Quepos Bridge’s main construction purpose in the 1930-1940s was for the
Bananera Company’s trains to easily transport bananas to the Port of Quepos. Made
up of wooden planks with no railings at all on both sides and gaping holes in
between makes this bridge a very tension-filled and scary challenge for truck
drivers to experience! It’s so scary
that locals have dubbed the Pont Quepos in Costa Rica as the “Oh My God” bridge
and the “Death Bridge”.
