Located in Eastern China along
the Huang Shan “Yellow Mountain” Range, the Bridge of Immortals crosses between
two giant boulders of granite, with a terrifying drop that’s said to meet
certain death should you plummet into its depths! As well as its menacing name,
the Bridge of Immortals is also a feat to get to. To get to this intimidating
bridge, you will have to go through very precipitous walkways made of wooden
planks that are attached to the rocky cliffs of the mountains. This terrifying
yet scenic bridge has become a very popular tourist attraction because of its
rich history, and is also included as one of the 878 UNESCO World Heritage
sites in the world.
