The Seven Mile Bridge, located
in Florida, is known as one of the longest bridges in the world. It’s an
award-winning bridge as well, and the bridge has collected 8 awards, one of
them is the Exceptional Award for Cost Savings Innovation by the Federal
Highway Administration. This bridge is actually the second bridge in the area,
with the first one decommissioned because it sat directly above the water, with
no way for boats to pass through. We can all agree that it does not really look
terrifying at all, but with Florida being a hurricane magnet state, you can
only imagine how scary it is to drive along the long bridge amidst a terrifying
hurricane!
