Academy Award winner Jon Voight is a big supporter of Donald Trump. Known for his roles in “Midnight Cowboy”, “Deliverance”, and “Coming Home’, Voight has been in the spotlight since the late 60s. Earlier in life, Voight identified with liberl ideologies, supporting John F. Kennedy and against the Vietnam War. However, in a 2008 op-ed, Voight criticized the Democratic party and the presidential hopeful Barack Obama. He claimed the Democrats had created “a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages… [to] demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.” Speaking at a inauguration rally for Donald Trump in 2017, Voight proclaimed that “God answered all our prayers” when Trump was elected.
