This respected American rapper, record producer, and fashion designer saw backlash online when he endorsed Donald Trump on Twitter. The public outcry didn’t diminish his support; instead, he met with President-elect Trump. “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues… I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.” Their meeting must’ve had an impact on Trump, because he later touted, “I think Kanye may be the most powerful man in all of politics,” referring to West’s supposed impact on the African-American community.
