Kenneth Branaugh and Emma Thompson fell in love while filming the romantic Shakespeare comedy “Much Ado About Nothing”. It makes sense Branaugh would fall in love with a different co-star while on set of another romantic movie years later. “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein” would be Branaugh and Thompson’s downfall when the former met Helena Bonham Carter on set. News of their illicit affair on set broke and Thompson promptly filed for divorce during production. But she doesn’t hold a grudge for Branaugh or Carter nowadays. “It’s pointless. I haven’t got the energy for it. Helena and I made our peace years and years ago.”
