During the early 90s, Kirk Cameron was a household name and heartthrob for teenagers around the country. However, once the hit series concluded, Kirk Cameron couldn’t find acting work. Many Hollywood insiders believe Cameron was blacklisted for his militant Christian views that the actor espoused constantly. He often voiced his disapproval of liberals and homosexuals. To an entertainment industry full of both, Cameron was seen as unhirable and a casting blight. In recent years, Cameron has found success in low budget Christian-produced films and projects.
