The Saltwater Crocodile
Australia, just like the Amazon, is home to some of the world’s most terrifying creatures. A good example is the saltwater crocodile, a giant reptile that can grow up to 24 feet long and weigh a staggering 2100 pounds. These reptiles are massive, territorial, and very aggressive, with evidence pointing to their ferocious appetites that include sharks and humans. The saltwater in their name can be quite misleading since these crocs can comfortably survive anywhere, including fresh-water rivers, swamps, and fresh-water lakes.
