In another tale of the scary Appalachian trail, a hiker came across a freshly constructed altar with a wooden cross right in the middle. He didn’t mind the altar because people have been known to do crazy things in that part of the mountain. A few more steps up the slopes, he stumbled upon another altar, but this time it had a pentagram covering it. If that wasn’t creepy enough, when he got to the top of the trail, he met a local guide who told him about the rumored satanic worship in the mentioned parts of the mountain.
