The city of New York awarded the bright, successful entrepreneur Donald Trump the contract after he submitted a convincing bid. By December, fresh renovations were complete, and Trump could mark another successful notch on his proverbial belt. Trump ensured the rink would stay a popular tourist attraction, and advertised his businesses by emblazoning his logo on the Zamboni, rental skates, and rink itself.
